The Minho region
Casa Fundevila is located right in the centre of the Portuguese region of Minho, in Vila Verde.
And to start with, right next door, a little more than 5 minutes walk away, you have the rivers Cávado and Homem, with fluvial beaches and the possibility of nautical sports.

Vila Verde is a beautiful place with a special mention for the typical handcraft production of “Lenços de Namorados” (Valentine’s handkerchiefs).
Then there is Amares, another Minho village, and following that road you will reach our great National Park Peneda-Gerês.
And of course, the unavoidable city of Braga, 10 Km away, with all its history and cultural dynamism. And speaking of cities, Guimarães, Portugal’s cradle city, should also be on your itinerary, but also Viana do Castelo, the princess of Lima, capital of Alto-Minho.
Beaches? yes, of course, about 40 km away is the coast and its beautiful beaches, Póvoa de Varzim, Apúlia, Ofir, Esposende, Viana do Castelo, easily accessible by motorway, (A11, Braga – Esposende, A28, along the coast).
